This past Saturday was filled with Christmas activites! We began the chilly morning with a trip to the Hendersonville parade. In the background, you can see Santa floating by...
We drove to a "farm" to cut down our own tree; but upon arrival we found they only had pines. Since I am a "Frazier Fur girl", we headed to a Chirstmas Tree lot near the apartment. Once we found the perfect tree, it was time to decorate!
Just when you thought the weekend was complete, we decided to go for a 5ish mile hike on Sunday. We started out at ~2300 ft. and hiked UP (and I mean UP!) to 4000 ft. The views we saw were beautiful and well worth the effort to get there!
(I have tried 4 times to get hiking pictures up and they won't appear...so, just imagine the view!!!)

Still Giving Thanks
Thanks for Aunt Kathryn for sharing her pictures with me! Here are a few:
A new addition this year to the Petty Thanksgiving was an accordian and an harmonica. Here you see Uncle Dave and David breaking it down. When that performing got old, they asked Uncle Kyle (seen here blowing on the harmonica while Uncle Dave moved the harmonica!), JT, and Zoe to join in!
Here is Zoe enjoying the outdoors, and with Aunt Marie and Uncle Kyle

Thanksgiving
Even though we missed our "California Family", we still enjoyed our time together. Kathryn and Jim's house proved to be the perfect setting to enjoy time together both indoors and outdoors. We especially enjoyed the outdoors with the warm weather that the holidays brought. It looks as though our MeMe enjoyed being outside as well!
While family was strolling on the driveway, Sawyer decided to became a "real man" and check out the woods! With a little help down the steep hill from mom and dad, he was able to become the adventuresome boy he is!
Plus, with a little help from Aunt Bethany,
he was able to venture down to the creek.
Thanksgiving wouldn't be complete without family to talk with, too much delicious food to eat (including a chocolate fountain, a new addition this year!), naps to take, and... a Ping Pong game only fit for a Petty to play!
Unfortunately, I never snapped a great shot of cousins Sawyer and Zoe together. However, once they checked each other out, they each decided the other was A-okay! Dancing, hugging, and giving out kisses seemed to be the favorites. As the last night came to a close, we ended with a campfire.
A preview campfire for MeMe to enjoy and then a "real" campfire down at the pit. Once again, another day to give thanks for the wonderful family I have.

Charleston, SC
Charleston, SC from Aunt Bethany's point of view:
Since we had off from school for Veteran's Day, I decided to tag along with the family to Charleston. I rode down with mom and dad where we met Phillip, Jammie, and Sawyer. While Phillip and Jammie were busying attending/being in a wedding; PaPa, GiGi, and Aunt B got to babysit! Before we could head to the beach, Sawyer had some "hotel business" to take care of:
We spent lots of time dancing, reading books, strolling the streets, playing "hide and go seek", playing on the basketball court, and other things we aren't allowed to tell the parents!
The weather was beautiful and we were able to all go for Sawyer's first beach visit!
