Thursday morning, we all headed down to Spencer to ride a train! Grandma Gribble lives about 10 minutes from the museum and wanted Sawyer to come down and see the trains. We packed everything up, stopped by the office to get dad, then headed on our way. Caroline slept in the car on the way down, and didn't quite finish her nap. Sawyer was so excited to see the trains when we got there. He was so afraid we were going to miss the train!
We all boarded and away we went. It was about a 30 minute total time boarding, riding, and unloading. He thought it was really awesome to see everything from the windows. He saw lots of "Bob's friends", firetrucks, the roundhouse, other trains, an airplane, an old car, the streets of Spencer, and lots of trees! We decided to skip the museum and head to Grandma Gribble's for lunch.
Uncle Steve, Aunt Martha, Cousin Russ and his wife Jessica came up to meet us...well, mainly to see the kids! We enjoyed playing at Grandma Gribble's house, eating lunch, and talking before heading back home. We finally got in the car for a late naptime, but both kids fell asleep pretty easily. Even mom and I snoozed! We dropped dad off at the office and both kids started waking up. So, mom and I just drove around for the next hour while they sleep some more! I know, it's crazy!
I took Sawyer and Pattie over to Grandmother Gen's to jump and let Pattie run around. We came back to the house to help with dinner then I was off! I went to eat Mexican with the Ridges, Pages and a few other Rural Hall peeps. There were 16 of us...pretty typical for a regular 7:30 Thursday night Mexican evening! Plus, I have leftovers for tomorrow!
